Dewy vs. Oily Skin: How to Set Sculpt & Glow for a Radiant, Shine-Controlled Finish

For oily and combination skin types it’s still possible to achieve a dewy radiance without it looking greasy. Many with oily skin worry creams will slide or add more shine to the skin surface. Creams that are light and blendable can actually adhere better to skin oils than powders, creating a seamless finish. The pigments in Sculpt & Glow are suspending in the cream formula, therefore the pigments are less affected by the skins oil than when in powder form. Often pigments in powders turn darker once applied this is due to the absorption of the oils into the pigment particles. Sculpt & Glow’s texture is buildable and formulated to meld with skin.
The key to achieving that dewy, radiant looking skin, without looking greasy, is control. Treating each area of the skin with exactly what it needs. With the right preparation, products and setting, you can achieve a dewy, controlled finish that lasts with Sculpt & Glow. Let’s walk through the steps.

Routine for oily/combination skin (dewy, not greasy)

1. Prep:
Use a lightweight, oil-control primer on the T-zone like the Digital Complexion Primer for oily skin or in more extreme cases Perfect Matt. A hydrating moisturizer for dryer areas, typically cheeks, like the Digital Complexion Primer for dry skin or Dermacolor Moisturizer Cream. This combination balances oil without flattening the skins appearance.

2. Balanced Skin Tone:
Achieve a visually balanced skin tone by applying a self-setting base, like the Digital Complexion Fluid Foundation. The Digital Complexion Concealer can also be used in areas that require a little more coverage.

3. Time to Sculpt & Glow!
Apply in thin layers, these creams are powerful—less is more. Apply Sculpt & Glow in thin taps and build only where necessary. A soft synthetic brush is the best choice for this.

4. Focus placement:
Use Sculpt for shadow zones (under cheekbones, sides of nose). Use Sculpt & Glow Palette 4 Colors (Glow) on cheeks and outer face, avoiding the T-zone.

5. Set strategically:

• Use a sheer Translucent Powder 50 g or our Dual Finish powders, only on the T-zone or areas that crease. Lightly press with a puff or powder brush — don’t sweep.

• For cheeks and high points, skip powder for a radiant dewy look.

• A light misting of Fixing Spray 75 ml will help to lock in your look and ensure your fresh glowing complexion doesn’t budge!

6. Avoid heavy mattifiers over cream areas. They can grab and look patchy.
7. Go about your day glowing with radiance and the confidence that we’ve got your look locked in.
