5 days, 5 women, countless hours, brushes, photos and a lot of make-up. The body painting campaign by Johny Dar was a total success. The components of the campaign were a lot of color, artistic skill and bare skin. Most important however, were the women being aware of their bodies in order to present themselves without fear or doubt.
American artist Johny Dar, body painter and designer, wanted to center the campaign on self-love and breaching self inflicted borders. On Tamara for example he used Kryolan Aquacolor Soft Cream and flung the product on Tamara's body in fast movements. Some very creative minutes later, the 34-year-old is almost unrecognizable. She proudly walks down Berlin Torstrasse during the photoshooting. "Let the people watch,” says Tamara. Johny Dar knows that situations like this made the campaign so unique. Because every woman spoke through her body: I am beautiful as I am. I stand by me and my body. I'm a little piece of art in my very own way.
Kryolan supported the event mainly with products from the Aquacolor series, as they are exceptionally brilliant and strong in color and can be distributed easily and evenly on the skin.
